Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls finished the NBA season with the best record in the NBA for the second year in a row. Hopes were high in Chicago, as was the excitement for the 2011-2012 NBA Playoffs. All of that disappeared when Rose went down with a knee injury, in Game one of the first round against the Philadelphia 76ers. Now the Bulls expect to be without Rose until at least February of 2013. This didn’t stop adidas from announcing the newest signature shoe in the Derrick Rose line: The adidas adiZero Rose 3.0. Today we get a look at this basketball shoe in a red and black colorway. The shoe gets its design from previous models in the series, combining all of the adidas features into one shoe. The shoe sits on a SPRINTFRAME midsole and is constructed of a more tumbled leather than previous models. The midsole features a paint splattered graphic design on it, as it appears to also be thicker. The more noticeable feature might be the new Rose logo seen on the tongue. A Rose silhouette with the letter ‘D’ in the middle makes up the design. Adding to the detail is a tribute to the Chicago neighborhood Englewood where Rose grew up, and is found on the back of the tongue. There’s no official release date, but check back with Modern Notoriety for more details.
