Taking inspiration from one of the world’s most dynamic cities, famous for being the crossroads of global culture, fashion and technology, adidas Originals presents an elevated take on the NMD_R2 silhouette in a flagship-exclusive release.

Boasting the second generation of the groundbreaking NMD silhouette, the latest release of the NMD_R2 model channels the future of Tokyo’s urban explorers through a number of design details.

The shoe’s knitted-mesh upper is structured for comfortable fit complemented by tonal details including welded 3-Stripe mark and different mesh materials on the medial side with little crossing. Placed atop a classic white BOOST tooling, the design is then accented by stripes on the heel patch, tongue logo and sockliner which represent the iconic and world-famous Shibuya crossing. Finished with subtle touches such as metallic lace tips and reflective yarn in the shoelaces, the silhouette pays homage to urban explorers in Tokyo, a city bursting with creativity.

The third drop in a series of flagship-exclusive releases, this progressive NMD_R2 model will release globally on 20th May 2017, available only at the following adidas Originals flagship stores: Berlin, New York, Mexico City, Paris, London, Milan, Moscow, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul.
