adidas Skateboarding unveils the Samba ADV – Burgundy, a new colorway for the redesigned version of the iconic Samba indoor soccer shoe – one of the brand’s most recognizable models since its introduction in 1950. The transformative design and rich soccer heritage of the classic Samba is reformulated to focus on a skateboarder’s needs of comfort, stability and board control.
Narrated by Scott Johnston, adidas Skateboarding’s senior footwear designer who reimagined the Samba ADV, the new video walks viewers through enhanced performance features and the shoe’s design process. The video also illustrates a timeline of the historical evolution of the original Samba from past to present day.
Created with the skateboarder’s needs in mind, the Samba ADV – Burgundy displays a suede and leather upper in a red hue, a responsive internal mesh bootie, molded heel clip for increased support, molded sockliner for impact cushioning, the classic cupsole, and a herringbone directional tread for precision grip and control.
The Samba ADV – Burgundy will be available at specialty adidas retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website starting January 1. The Samba ADV – Burgundy will retail for $75.
