WE are we are, the youth of the nation!

Oh snap, wrong POD. Even worse – we’re now realizing how dated that POD reference is…

the band, POD, did a song called “Youth Of The Nation”

This post is actually about the new adidas POD s3.1 collab with Bape and Neighborhood!

adidas x Bape x Neighborhood POD s3.1

For the second time in less than 3 months streetwear powerhouse, Bape, and adidas are teaming up for another high octane collaboration. In their last outing with the Japanese juggernaut adidas rolled out a pair of fire UltraBOOSTs, but they’re rockin’ with the POD s3.1 on this go-around.

POD as a silhouette hasn’t taken off like adidas hoped, but real fans of the Brand With Three Strips see it for what it is – a super solid BOOST based shoe. The POD was tasked with being the streetwear successor to the NMD, but the design was unable to capture the same levels of hype. The lack of mainstream notoriety wasn’t based on the POD’s performance pedigree – they’re extremely light and comfortable; but adidas didn’t come correct with colorways and creative collabs. Until now…

Fugeo has hit the POD! Streetwear brand, Neighborhood, is jumping onto the adidas x Bape fun-train for the trio’s second drop of 2019 (an NMD triple-collab released on 01/02/19).

To no one’s surprise these POD s3.1’s come dripping in a ying-yang (black n white) style Bape camo print (we ain’t mad). Bape’s other calling card, the shark face, is located on the lateral side panels for an extra hint of clout (lol). Neighborhood’s skull & crossbones logo appears on the heel tab, vamp and throughout the upper’s camo print to round out the look.

Stay tuned for release details, and tell us in the comments section if you plan on picking up a pair!
