This year marks the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red” that released in the late 80’s and this coming fall, you can expect this classic colorway to return once again. Although this upcoming retro wont be featuring the classic “Fire Red” colorway, it still shares lots of similarities to the one that released 23 years ago. Air Jordan 4 “Mars” 23rd Anniversary Fall 2012
White/Varsity Red- Black
why do people call these the "Mars" when the face is not on the heel?
Well they can't call them "Fire Red" since the colorway isn't Fire Red.
The Mars that released in 06 (ithink) had Varsity Red..Not Fire Red.
And the cement 4's were "cement grey" not tech grey, but people still call them cement 4's. The Fire reds came before the mars, it should be considered "fire reds" unless they have the face on the heel.
can't wait to cop :)
Whatever their name, I'll cop. Lol.
So happy that the Mars Logo didn't appear in the 2012 release! my 06' is still crispy!
Tokyosan is right. The 06' pair is varsity red and the OG's are red so saying that these are Fire Reds would technically be wrong. but who the hell really cares.
im just glad people will be able to tell the difference from these and the 06' pair easily.
