New York City’s street style is comprised of many subgenres of fashion, but one type of clothing that gets a ton of love in NYC is workwear. Tough and durable for the cold winter months, Timberland boots and Carhartt jackets are local staples.
Angelo Baque’s Awake NY label embodies New York street fashion better than any other. Following their recently released Timberland collab, Awake NY is sticking to the workwear theme with a collaboration with Carhartt WIP.
The Awake NY x Carhartt WIP collection combines Carhartt WIP’s rugged, utilitarian aesthetic with the NYC-informed sensibility of Awake NY. It includes various wardrobe staples such as hoodies, tees, and beanies. A stand-out piece is the tan jacket with blue panels, which match well with the orange and blue hoodies and pants.
The Awake NY x Carhartt WIP collection will be available on Friday, January 17th at 11am EST on awakenyclothing.com. The collection will also be available starting January 18th in-store at Carhartt WIP New York and Los Angeles and online.
