Call of Duty 2020 Will Reboot the Black Ops Series

0

According to Call of Duty leaker LongSensation, the 2020 installment in the gaming franchise will be a reboot of the Black Ops series. If this report is correct, that means that we’ll be getting back-to-back reboots of two popular series in the franchise, since this year’s CoD is a soft reboot of Modern Warfare.

Going by the name Call of Duty: Black Ops V or simply Call of Duty: Black Ops, the 2020 installment will be taking players back to the Cold War and its story will span over 40 years which includes the Vietnam and Korean War. The game is also being described as grittier and more gruesome than this year’s Modern Warfare, which is already reported as containing insane levels of realistic violence.

Expect Call of Duty: Black Ops (V) to release on PS5, Xbox Scarlett, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Look for an official announcement of next year’s Call of Duty from Treyarch and Activision in spring or early summer 2020.
