In turns out that the long-rumored remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is real, and it’s coming out in T-minus 24 hours.
Files from the remaster were datamined from the latest update of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare over the weekend. According to the PSN listing, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered features “completely remastered with improved textures, animations, physical rendering, HDR lighting, and more.”
The remaster will include the original MW2 campaign that released in 2009. Multiplayer will not be part of the remaster, but many Modern Warfare 2 maps have already been added to the latest installment of the Modern Warfare series. Releasing alongside the remastering is the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle so you can play as the classic MW2 Ghost in both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and Call of Duty: Warzone.

While the remaster leaked early on the German PSN store (now taken down), look for it to officially release on the PSN store on March 31st. Xbox and PC gamers will have to wait for a release for their consoles on April 30th. PSN store price is $19.99 USD.
