Call of Duty: Modern Warfare doesn’t release until October 25th, but PlayStation 4 owners will be able to test out the game this weekend, a whole two months before its official launch.

Starting on August 23rd, every Playstation 4 owner around the world can play the free 2v2 Multiplayer Alpha Test. No pre-order of the game or PlayStation Plus subscription is required, all you need is an Internet connection. The Alpha starts at noon CDT on Friday, with preloading scheduled to be available hours prior to launch, and ends on Sunday, August 25th.

Hit up your wingman and play on the five available maps (King, Pine, Stack, Speedball, and Docks) in various 2v2 game modes that will be added throughout the weekend. The Alpha Test will be followed by an Open Beta, which kicks off on September 12 for those that pre-ordered the PS4 version and on September 19 for Xbox One and PC. Check out the trailer for the Alpha Test below.
