Air Yeezy 2 “Red October” Mentioned in “Yeezus”

The anticipation for anything Kanye, Yeezy, or Yeezus has been tremendous this month, and today’s leak of Kanye West’s 6th studio album has only added fuel to the Yeezus fire. We gave you a preview of his tracklist this week, and even with that information the album still managed to drop some hidden jems. The biggest surprise was the reference to the Air Yeezy 2 “Red Octobers” that have been setting the web ablaze. The latest stunt from Don C gave us a hint to their moniker, but this “Yeezy’s all in your sofa, these the Red Octobers” quote from “Yeezus’” track “Hold My Liquor” (featuring Chief Keef) is by far the most concrete release information we have seen since images of the now infamous all-red Air Yeezy 2′s hit the web months ago. Stay tuned with Modern Notoriety for the latest on all things Kanye, Yeezy and Yeezus via our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. More after the jump.
Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red” – Possible Release Info

In what can only be labeled a stunt, Kanye confidant Don C took to Instagram this morning to stir the Yeezus pot, and if the information he oh so subtly relayed is true, “Yeezus Season” is going to last from a little longer than June 18th. The post was a typical Instagram stunt, the old “tap to retry” screenshot set up to sucker people into double-tapping to like the image, but the notoriety of this post comes from the hashtags, “#airyeezy2″ and “#redoctobers”.

Kanye West Announces “Yeezus” Tracklist

Last night (June 10th) Kanye West held a listening event for his upcoming album entitled “Yeezus”. The buzz around anything Mr. West related is tremendous so it is always an extravaganza when he stands up to the mic. At this event, “Ye” took the opportunity to thank his team and give some explanations, presumably to end some of the hearsay, and if everything releases as planned this is sure to be a true musical spectacle. One of the more exciting aspects was the release of the full tracklist for the project, something the music world had been speculating on for quite some time. More after the jump. (more…)
Nike PR Director Confirms New Air Yeezy 2 Info and More

After all of the ruckus in the past few days, it appears the dust has settled and some genuine facts have finally surfaced. With many reports about a June 18th release, and a newer report of a “Golden Ticket” (which turned out to be false) release, it appears that while they will be released, it certainly will not be June 18th, and a certified source at Nike (Heidi Burgett) tweeted “We’re planning to release it later this year.” She didn’t exactly mention the Air Yeezy 2 in Red, but under these significant circumstances, it is quite apparent these are the sneakers she is speaking of. Stay abreast of the Yeezus Season via Modern Notoriety and for the latest check in via our mobile offerings on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Street Notoriety: G.o.D. Jewels and Hero George

Not only is G.o.D. Jewels one of Chicago’s up and coming Hip-Hop artists, but a sneaker/streetwear connoisseur who’s been heavy in the scene for quite sometime. Having recently returned to stake his claim as the “King of Chicago”, G.o.D. Jewels and his in-house producer Hero George, made an emphatic statement by releasing ‘The Looking Glass’ series.
Part documentary, part music video, ‘The Looking Glass’ serves as a precursor to an eventual collaborative album from G.o.D. Jewels and Hero George dubbed “Glimpse of Destiny”.
These two sat down with Modern Notoriety and gave us a glimpse into their thought process on sneakers and streetwear.
