Back in 2008, when Kanye West and Nike were a match made in heaven, an Air Jordan VI sample was made as a tribute to Kanye’s late mother, Donda West.

The shoe never saw an official release and circulating images of the shoe are incredibly limited. Back in 2016, Don C gave everyone a look at the shoe, approximately two years after Kanye’s departure from Nike and the release of the Red Octobers. Now, thanks to the Jordan VI fan and collector @nikeairjordanvi, we have a more detailed look at the rare shoe sample, of which only 4 pairs are known to exist.

The “Donda West” takes the white Varsity Red color blocking, but adds a laser-etched rose vine pattern on the overlays and a matching rose on the toe box. The rose theme continues with embroideries of a rose on the heel and tongue, as well as the hook for West’s song “Roses” on the insole with another rose printed alongside his mother’s name.

Take a look at the rare 1 of 4 Air Jordan VI “Donda West” below and tell us how much you would’ve thirsted for them if they released.
