In an interview with the creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, GQ found out details on the upcoming collaboration between the luxury menswear brand and HM that is set to release this fall. Many are wondering how H&M and Balmain will mesh. Yet, we’ve already seen Balmain-inspired designs offered at a lower price point by streetwear brands. Of course, the highlight of the collection is the signature Balmain moto jeans that will be releasing for $310 rather than upwards of $1,000. Additionally, Balmain and HM are teaming up to release a trench coat at $232 and a moto jacket for $310.

The sneakers run will be priced at about $150 opposed to the $600+ retail price of regular Balmain sneakers. Lastly, the collection includes backpacks for $230 and shirts starting at $75. The prices will definitely appeal to the fashion forward consumer that doesn’t want to drop the bread for normal Balmain, yet still wants higher quality pieces than typical H&M.

Balmain x H&M drops on November 5th in-store and online. Be sure to stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
