This year Nike unveiled its new React technology with the Epic React and the React Element 87 silhouettes. Now, Nike sets to expand this technology to the Air Jordan 1 in a hybrid model dubbed, the Jordan Apex-Utility set for 2019.
Jordan Brand’s Frank Cooker originally took it to his instagram to unveil a React Element 87 and Air Jordan 1 hybrid and stating, “Don’t over think it, just sit back and let the streets REACT.” By combining the elements of an AJ1 Flyknit model with the translucent covering and a full-length React midsole, this hybrid model is just a preview of what’s to come from Swoosh. Now we can see the full extent of this model showcasing its translucent features, hints of the AJ1 “Bred” as well as functional design aspects like the heel strap and React midsole.
