Although Kanye West has had immense success with his sneaker lines, be that the LV’s or either rendition of the Nike Air Yeezy, his journey into fashion had rocky beginnings. With complaints about his over-the-top designs and newcomer status, he was an easy target. Not one to fold for others’ opinions, West struck back with a simplified line and garnered praise, proving yet again Yeezus can’t be stopped. The latest in Yeezy fashion (aside from the pending Red October release) is the news that West and France’s world renowned A.P.C. may be collaborating, which is sure to set the blogosphere ablaze. In a recent interview with W Magazine, Kanye alluded to a line of everyday clothing, from hoodies and t’s to jeans, something outside the bounds of his over the top fashion house couture and perfectly in line with the product line at A.P.C. What does this mean for streetwear and Kanye fans alike? Well, while not official, the idea of Kanye and A.P.C. collaborating will cause quite the scene, and bring Kanye’s intense design theorems into a new realm, and if the Air Yeezy’s are any insight, we’re in for a treat.
