In 1982, American mountain climber, Lou Whitaker partnered with the New Balance shoe company and created the first trekking boots. The H710 model was the same boot Whitaker wore when he reached the peak on Mt. Everest. The boots were coined as being the “Rolls Royce of shoes”.
