In 1982, American mountain climber, Lou Whitaker partnered with the New Balance shoe company and created the first trekking boots. The H710 model was the same boot Whitaker wore when he reached the peak on Mt. Everest. The boots were coined as being the “Rolls Royce of shoes”. The breathable nylon mesh and high-quality nubuck leather add to the quality built in-to the boot. The H710 is a fascinating shoe with a rich history. New Balance will be re-releasing a limited edition version of the classic boot in February. Be on the lookout. Don’t get left behind. Via EK
