Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke (Reggie Holloway) Detailed

0

On March 17, 2010, Reggie Holloway, an avid sneakerhead and Air Force 1 collector, passed away. His passing left the sneaker community saddend as Reggie’s notoriety developed through his unique collection and love for the sneaker culture. Immediately after following the sad news, friends of Reggie came together and started a charity fund in order to do something big to remember Reggie and his passion for the Air Force 1. The idea for a Bespoke was brought up by members of the uptowns.net forums in which Reggie called home. A donation site was then created the next day and within 24 hours enough money was raised to purchase Reggie a bespoke Air force 1 then a second pair was donated by Nike Sportswear.

More info and detailed pics After the Jump.

Both pairs feature the OG colorway of Reggies favorite NBA team, The Houston Rockets.  The Bespoke features a colorway combination of navy, red, and light blue. The material composition of the shoe holds an all around nubuck around the toe and lace area, rubberized leather on the mid panel and heal tab, a split suede along the heel portions of the shoe, Italian patent leather on the swoosh, and finally 3m trim around the swoosh and a 3m tongue tab. The whole shoe is finished with a light grey contrast stitching which represents the older pinstripe Rockets jerseys of the mid 90’s. Both pairs come with a custom lasered wooden box that include the names of everyone that donated towards the charity. Both pairs will be donated to the Holloway family and the rest of the proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For more information, please visit www.reggieaf1.com
