Nike and the University of North Carolina have a long history together, given the ties between Michael Jordan and the college that sparked what turned into a true Basketball legacy. This time, rather than having a Jordan Brand colorway, Nike dedicated a colorway of the Air Force 1 Mid to the UNC. While it takes on the name “University Blue” rather than being a true PE, it is clear where the combination of light blues and white comes from.
