Nike has designed an innovative basketball shoe for athletes of all abilities with the help of Olympic gold medalist and Washington Mystics forward, Elena Delle Donne.

The Zoom UNVRS introduces FlyEase technology that makes the shoe easy to open, close, put on, and take off and with adjustability that accommodates different foot shapes and sizes. Delle Donne helped design the FlyEase enclosure system, taking insight from her sister, Lizzie, who lives with disabilities and creating the philosophy that “takes insights and inspiration from athletes with disabilities to create smarter and better-designed footwear that works for athletes of all abilities.”

The shoe has a Flyknit upper for durability and an Air Zoom sole for quick responsiveness. It also has a magnetic foldable heel that connects to the midsole to allow the wearer to slip in and out of the shoe with no hands. Finally, the FlyEase enclosure system is designed with Flywire cables to act as laces that go into a strap that wraps around the heel to secure the foot within the shoe for a high-performance basketball shoe designed for all types of athletes regardless of ability.

Take a look at the Nike Air Zoom UNVRS which will release sometime in November and stay tuned for more details.
