Nike will be the official kit provider for Liverpool Football Club beginning in the 2020-21 season as a multi-year agreement between the two has been officially announced.

The agreement will see Nike outfitting the men’s, women’s and academy squads, as well as coaching staff and Liverpool Football Club Foundation. This partnership comes after LFC’s five-year contract with New Balance comes to an end.

“Liverpool Football Club has such a proud heritage and strong identity,” says Bert Hoyt, VP, GM Nike EMEA. “The partnership with Liverpool underscores our leadership in global football, and with the club’s passionate world-wide fan base and strong legacy of success, they have a very bright future ahead. We look forward to partnering with them to serve players and supporters with Nike innovation and design.”

Details of the deal have not been revealed, but it’s been speculated that this partnership breaks the record held by adidas, who sponsors Manchester United in a £75 million GBP per year agreement (roughly $92 million USD a year). Look for the first Nike-designed Liverpool kit to be unveiled when the Nike x Liverpool FC partnership officially begins on June 1st.
