Nike Pays Tribute to Olympic Hurdler Colin Jackson

Nike’s 2018 Black History Month Collection pays tribute to iconic moments in history. Featured in the collection is the Nike Air VaporMax “BHM” paying tribute to Olympic Hurdler Colin Jackson.

Colin Jackson broke the 110m hurdles world record by setting a record time of 12.91 seconds which held its top mark for decades. At age 50, Colin Jackson came out as gay, serving as a an inspiration to the country. The Nike Air VaporMax “BHM” features the red, black and green Pan-African flag inspired color way throughout the outsole, heel and insoles with gold “BHM” branding and gold stamped date “08 20 1993” which is the date when Jackson set his record.
