Young athletes around the world who love the game of football want to celebrate that passion 24/7. On the pitch and off they want to proudly wear the colors of their heroes and their favorite teams. To give these young fans of the beautiful game a special way to display their commitment and style, Nike has created a special Hypervenom Collection that includes three packs of footwear for young athletes.

Each pack in the Hypervenom Collection features the lead colorway of the adult Hypervenom introduced at the same time. Every pack will include the Nike Hypervenom Phelon (FG) cleat; the Nike Free Hypervenom; and either the Nike Air Max 1, Air Max 90, or Air Max Command. Each versatile pack gives kids the ability to shine on the pitch, in the classroom and on the playground.

The first edition of the Hypervenom Collection is the Nike White Hypervenom Pack. The powerful white colorway is currently being worn on the pitch by some of the game’s very best players, including Brasilian and FC Barcelona offender Neymar. Nike designers drew inspiration from the energy, atmosphere, and visuals of New Year’s Eve celebrations in Brasil when creating the look of the White Pack. White is the traditional color worn by Brasilians on New Year’s Eve. White is also an expressive color choice among footballers and is currently the second most selected hue on NIKEiD. The color contrast splashed along the Swoosh of the boots loosely mimics the way New Year’s fireworks cascade through the night sky.

Made with a visible Max Air unit and full-length Phylon midsole, the Nike Air Max 1 shoe that is part of the Nike Hypervenom Collection White Pack for young athletes offers a comfortable, cushioned ride. A durable rubber waffle outsole features grooves for superb flexibility and a natural range of motion while the visible Max Air unit in the heel delivers great cushioning. The full-grain and synthetic-leather upper gives the footwear long-lasting durability, and a low-cut collar around the ankle area provides young athletes with great support for all-day comfort.

Nike Air Max’s origins started when Nike’s revolutionary Air-Sole unit made its way into Nike footwear in the late ’70s. In 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 debuted with visible air in its heel, allowing fans more than just the feel of Air-Sole comfort—suddenly they could see it. Since then, next-generation Nike Air Max shoes have become a hit with athletes and collectors by offering striking color combinations and reliable, lightweight cushioning.

The Nike Free Hypervenom gives young athletes a flexible and lightweight everyday, off-pitch shoe. The superb flexibility comes from hexagonal flex grooves that are cut into the outsole and wrap around the sidewall, allowing the foot to move naturally in every direction. A rounded heel mimics the foot shape, rolling with the ground to promote natural movement and extended range of motion.

The dimpled NIKESKIN upper of the White Pack Free Hypervenom takes its inspiration from the adult Hypervenom cleat and offers durability without added weight and an adaptive, supportive fit that moves naturally in sync with the athlete.

Nike Free started with the insight that Stanford runners were training barefoot on the university’s golf course. Three of Nike’s most innovative and creative employees then set out to develop a shoe that felt natural and weightless, similar to bare feet. In 2002, they examined a group of men and women with pressure-measuring insoles taped to their feet, using high-speed cameras to capture images of each foot in motion.

The team spent eight years studying biomechanics and the results yielded a profound understanding of the foot’s natural landing angle, pressure and toe position. This allowed Nike designers to build an unconventional and flexible shoe from the inside out that enables natural motion.

The Nike Jr. Hypervenom Phelon soccer cleat is built for unrivaled agility on firm, natural surfaces. An innovative traction pattern places studs only where they’re needed for fast release and maximum responsiveness. The usual soft, thin synthetic leather upper has been customized to more closely mirror the texture of the adult boot while still offering a glove-like fit and awesome ball feel. A shortened lace area on the upper increases the strike zone on the boot for younger athletes and the contoured sockliner with textile top layer provides soft, supportive cushioning for growing feet.

The first edition of the Nike Hypervenom Collection for young athletes, the Nike White Hypervenom Pack, is available Dec.18 exclusively via nike.com and select retailers.
