The latest project from PUMA, designer Alexander John, and Roc Nation exec Emory “Vegas” Jones has officially launched today. The RS-X “Mixtape” is a one of a kind piece that isn’t just a sneaker, “it’s a culture.”
During an exchange between Jones and John, Jones offered words of wisdom to the designer by encouraging and influencing him to find the “tracks and sounds that provide the waves that move [him] to a higher frequency. There will always be a side A and side B to every story. Eject all negativity and play the positive.”
The RS-X Mixtape features PUMA’s signature RS midsole technology as well as Alexander John’s hand painted and custom applied graphic treatments that match the customized mixtape graphic box. Besides its vibrant colors and block-style iconography, the shoe also includes leather, textile, and rubber elements. Described by John as “the definition of fly,” the shoe’s release is the newest launch in efforts to expand the RS sneaker franchise.
