RSVP Gallery x Nike Air Force 1 High

1

RSVP Gallery first opened their doors in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood in 2009. The luxury boutique created by Virgil Abloh and Don C offers pieces by premium streetwear brands such as Raf Simons, Cav Empt, and of course OFF-WHITE and Just Don.

RSVP Gallery and Nike have teamed up on an upcoming iteration of the Air Force 1 High. It comes equipped a white leather upper with neon green accents on the Swoosh, insole, and co-branding on the heel. The pair also includes glow-in-the-dark elements, such as the RSVP lettering on the tongue and the rubber midsole. Stitched on the inside of the tongues are the flags of the cities that are home to the two RSVP locations: Chicago and Los Angeles.

The design also borrows elements from the lesser known follow-ups to the AF1. The rubber heel counter is a design cue taken from the Air Force 2, while the eyestay overlay for the bottom eyelet is taken from the Air Force 3.
