Yesterday marked 29 years since the Air Jordan 1 was Banned from the NBA and in 2011, Jordan Brand and Nike had a special edition of the OG 1 that was set to release in October. Two versions of this Air Jordan 1 Sample surfaced that year – The first was the Sample Version of the banned that featured X’s on the heel, tongue and Wings logo. The other, A premium leather high top that released in May of 2011 at Nike Outlets across the U.S. The Silent release was one of the first we’ve ever heard of and at $110 a Pop, it was surely a must have. You can’t find an Air Jordan 1 “Banned” for less than 1k nowadays so if you scooped up a pair in 2011, you’re one of the lucky ones.
