For his 11th capsule under Vans’ premium label, Vault by Vans, designer and artist Taka Hayashi reworks the iconic Classic Slip-On silhouette to introduce the TH OG Classic Slip-On 59 LX. Debuting in two high-end colorways, the TH OG Classic Slip-On 59 LX surfaces with an aesthetic inspired by the native patterns of New Mexico, showcasing intricate woven uppers and deluxe leather trim materials. To create his latest set of footwear pieces, Hayashi has utilized the OG form of the Classic Slip-On, referencing its original design specs to present the Chimayo-styled color-ups. The retro silhouette presents the same fit, foxing height, padding density and details as its first size run from decades past. Taka Hayashi branding marks the footbed, heel mustache and heel tab as the finishing touch to this fall 2014 offering. The TH OG Classic Slip-On 59 LX retails for $150 USD and releases this August at select Vault by Vans stockists including the Vans DQM General (New York and Boston), Blends, Barneys, Bodega, Bows & Arrows, Conveyor, Fice, Hot Rod, Kicks/HI, Nice Kicks, Palace 5ive and Proper.
