Back in August, rumors broke out of an upcoming BAPE x adidas Superstar collaboration. Today, BAPE confirms the news by officially revealing its two Superstar variants.
The SS21 BAPE x adidas Superstar features an asymmetrical design, with the left side of each shoe featuring the classic Three Stripes and the right side utilizing BAPE’s star-shaped “STA” branding. A clean white and black colorway pays tribute to the OG Superstar colorway from 1969, while the Color Camo edition is a much bolder take, dressed in mismatching purple, red, blue, and black variants of BAPE CAMO. Each feature gold accents on the tongue labels, lacestays, and side panels.
Both colorways of the BAPE x adidas Superstar 80 are slated to release on Saturday, February 27th at BAPE locations and the BAPE.COM webstore. A wider release on adidas.com is likely to follow. Check out both colorways below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for any news on a wider release.
