BAPE is Releasing Their Own Deck of UNO Cards

1

Mattel is celebrating the 50th anniversary of UNO with the release of a variety of special edition versions of the popular card game. BAPE is joining in on the celebration with their own custom deck.

A teaser image shared by BAPE reveals three UNO cards, each featuring one of the brand’s iconic logos: APE HEAD, BABY MILO, and the more rarely used GENERAL logo. The cards backgrounds feature a subtle UNO 50th anniversary logo print overlayed with BAPE’s line camo. Additional teaser images shared by Mattel reveals the designs for the back of the cards and the “Draw 4” card.

This isn’t the first time that we get a streetwear version of UNO. The Hundreds dropped their version of the card game late last year, which quickly sold out (find it on StockX). Other hype-related versions of the game include a BE@RBRICK x Bicycle edition in 2011 and an Artiste Series edition made in collaboration with OBEY street artist Shepard Fairey released earlier this summer.

Check out the BAPE x UNO teaser images below. Expect a release via BAPE.com, Mattel Creations, and select retailers soon. As always, stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
