A BATHING APE has teamed up with British-based shoe manufacturer Clarks Originals on a Fall/Winter ’20 capsule.
Clarks ORIGINALS has made a name for itself in the footwear scene by blending traditional British craftsmanship with innovative technology. The brand’s iconic products like the Wallabee and Desert boots remain true to their roots while continuing to evolve their connection to modern culture and fashion.
The Desert Boot and the Wallabee are the focuses on this new collaboration between BAPE and Clarks. The Wallabee is equipped with an extra-light outsole along with BAPE’s “shark tooth” insignia and the brand’s signature camo on the lateral sides. Both colorways feature the word “manhunt” which pays tribute to BAPE’s unofficial Wallabee boot that released in the late 2000s. On the light blue pair, the lateral camouflage comes dressed in a dark green colorway while on the coral pair yellow camouflage is featured.
The Desert Boot, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, includes asymmetrical, laser-printed BAPE logos which are different on each shoe in the pair. There is a mixture of logos that BAPE has used over the years and including an Ursus BAPE logo. Ursus BAPE is a joint brand of BAPE with Nigo and WTAPS founder and designer Tetsu Nishiyama. Also making an appearance is the classic APE head along with the Busy Works logo. The boot is finalized by Clarks’ signature crepe outsole. Both feature a comfortable co-branded leather lining.

The collaboration is set to release on August 8th at A BATHING APE locations, BAPE.COM and Clarks online store and also all pairs will be available via a raffle on EndClothing.com (Light Blue Combi Wallabee, Coral Combi Wallabee, Grey Embossed Desert Boot, Oak Embossed Desert Boot).
