Following a sandal collab with Suicoke, Dr. Martens reconnects with Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL* to release the 1461 “Graphite.”

The 1461 was originally released in 1961, designed as a durable shoe for daily physical work though soon adopted by youth culture movements across the world. Samuel Ross, with his own utilitarian design philosophies, reinterprets the silhouette with inspiration from brutalist architecture, crafted with strong lines and angular geometric shaping.

The shoe features a grey smooth leather upper, with lateral and medial sides converging on the tongue to envelop a zip closure system. Light on branding and embellishments, details include a custom silicone dual-branded zip pull, subtle ACW* debossed heel branding, a dual logo sock liner and brushed silver metal rivets. Underfoot is a Smoke Bex sole secured with tonal black welt stitching.

The A-COLD-WALL* x Dr. Martens 1461 “Graphite” launches on September 2nd on the A-C-W website (3pm BST), followed by a global release on September 4th via the Dr. Martens website (8am PDT) and select retailers.
