Italian pro football club AC Milan has announced a new partnership with Off-White. The fashion label will act as the club’s official Style and Culture Curator and will provide clothing for both men’s and women’s teams.

This partnership builds upon the “I Support” vernacular introduced by the late Virgil Abloh in 2020 with the “I Support Young Black Businesses” tee. Messaging in the announcement video includes phrases such as “I support freedom of speech” and “I support inclusivity,” read by AC Milan’s men’s and women’s players.

Using the combined power of sport and fashion, AC Milan and Off-White aim to generate positive change in the collective human experience. The messaging behind this partnership aligns with AC Milan’s “Manifesto for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion,” launched in 2020 with the goal of sharing the positive values of sports to tackle all forms of prejudice and discrimination.

Suits and jackets created by Off-White for AC Milan feature an oversized red tag on the sleeve that reads “I support sport for change.” This is a call to action for both players and the public to “wear you heart on your sleeve” and be unafraid of standing up for change and personal beliefs every single day. Matching action to words, the partnership will include community activations and projects to support Fondazione Milan, AC Milan’s charity foundation.

“This partnership is an ambitious project that involves two innovative and global brands,” says Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer of AC Milan. “As a Club, we have very defined principles. Cultural-inclusivity and equality is at the forefront of our business. Therefore, we are proud to embark on this journey with Off-White, with whom the Rossoneri share a common vision and a common mission. The new journey is a further testament to AC Milan’s ability to engage with younger generations through the convergence of football with other sectors.”

The AC Milan men’s team will debut their new Off-White uniforms on-pitch in their Champions League away match in London against Chelsea on Wednesday, October 5th. Check out the photos below.
