Following some early looks, we now have an official reveal of the ACRONYM x Nike Blazer Low and its accompanying apparel collection.
ACRONYM founder Errolson Hugh is known for his functional-yet-stylish approach to techwear. Starting with the Blazer Lows, these come in “Night Maroon” and “Black” colorways, each featuring a ballistic mesh upper with ghillie laser-cut detailing, adding an element of distressing throughout the shoe. The standout feature, however, is the removable TPU heel clip. Adding a futuristic element of hardware to the shoe, the heel clips are secured with six screws which can be removed and interchanged using the edge of the dog tag hangtag.
Accompanying the footwear is the first ever ACRONYM x Nike apparel collection. The collection features a set of tracksuits and stadium jerseys. The tracksuits are comprised of a woven jacket and pant set and a knit jacket and pant set, each in two colorways. The woven jacket features a unique two-zipper configuration, one placed in the standard center front position, the other going diagonally over the shoulder and down the back. This diagonal zipper doubles as a carrying strap, while the center zipper is breakaway for rapid removal. Each piece embodies Hugh’s form-follows-function ethos, with breathable, durable fabrics and modern design details allowing you to freely move and adapt with ease.
The ACRONYM x Nike Blazer Low and accompanying apparel launch on February 9th on ACRNM.com, followed by a wider release on February 10th on SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out the full collection below.
