adidas has plans to launch a planet-inspired capsule dubbed the “Cosmic Way Runners” collection as part of its Spring/Summer 2023 lineup.
First leaked by Complex, the collection features “Mars” and “Neptune” colorways of the recently-launched adiFOM Q and the Supernova Cushion 7. These are are inspired by inspired by “exploration and inhabiting of other planets” and feature a distressed look to mimic the aftermath of traveling through space.
The adiFOM Q was recently in the crosshairs of Kanye West, who has been criticizing adidas over the past few weeks for copying his designs (the adiFOM Q bares resemblance to the YEEZY Foam Runner). The Supernova Cushion 7 was also part of its own controversy recently (the whole Praying collab Addison Rae bikini thing), but we don’t have to get into that right now.
The adidas “Cosmic Ways Runners” collection is expected to begin hitting adidas.com and select retailers starting this December. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
