The adidas City Series first landed in the ’70s and ’80s and chronicled cities all across Europe. While many models from the series have seen their resurrection multiple times throughout the years, but some – like the Barcelona – have been scarce seen since. adidas has now brought back the Barcelona in its OG glory after being tucked away in the archives for over 30 years.
The newly-released adidas Barcelona is dressed in an all white leather upper blended with blue Three Stripes branding and a matching heel cap with “Barcelona” gold foil branding on the lateral sides. “City Series MMXX” gold foil branding is also tucked away inside the collar. The shoe design is rounded out with a cream midsole and matching outsole. A detail to note is that the the midsole mirrors the ’70s Trimm Trab shoe, but with a more streamlined finish.
