Original Story (10/12/21): adidas is dropping a new version of the Forum Low inspired by the 1990 Christmastime film Home Alone.
The shoe comes packed with an insane amount of details that nod back to the classic movie. First, it comes in a white and red color scheme, making them nearly identical to the kicks worn by Kevin McCallister (played by a young Macaulay Culkin) in the film. Burn marks and tears nod to the mischief that ensues as Kevin defends his home from the two burglars, Harry and Marv. Harry and Marv themselves are two of the sets of graphic insoles, while the third set features Kevin’s “battle plans” drawn in crayon. Additional details include an “M” emblem on the heel as a nod to the McCallisters’ doorknobs and brown chenille tongue tags made to look like doormats — one featuring the a Home Alone logo and another featuring the adidas Trefoil. The shoe also comes with a few goodies: a Home Alone hangtag, a sticker, and a set of pins that reference scenes from the film (including a fire extinguisher, paint bucket, and steam iron).
