adidas’ latest entry in its expansive A-ZX series comes in the form of a graceful collaborative ZX 7000 with the wildly popular Chinese tea shop HEYTEA.
The HEYTEA x adidas ZX 7000 comes primarily in tones of purple, pink and white, and the brand has modified the adidas heritage runner to be a bit wavier and drippier to mirror their foamy cheese tea offerings. The shoe’s textured paneling gently rolls and dips as it goes across the shoe’s upper, and each panel seems to become a slightly darker purple-pink.
A marbled, translucent toebox overlay complements solid white eyestays, and the model gets a tongue-in-cheek nod to its origins with a cheese block patterned heel panel. An extra drippy white and purple midsole and a simple black HEYTEA tongue logo round out the design.
