No one could forget the way the adidas NMD R1 shook up the sneaker market upon its original release in December 2015. At the height of its popularity, the model’s OG colorway was going for over $1K on the resale market. The notorious pair is now making a comeback in a colorway that celebrates the OG’s glory.

Releasing in commemoration of the silhouette’s fifth anniversary, adidas is bringing back the NMD R1 in its classic Core Black Primeknit upper with red and blue midsole plugs. The white Boost cushioning on the sole unit remains the same, however, some changes have been made to the upper; the signature Three Stripes and pull tabs have taken on a simpler look, with reduced stitching lines and solid black leather.

The adidas NMD R1 Primeknit “Core Black” will be available on Thursday, March 11th via select retailers and adidas.com for a retail price of $180 USD.
