Adidas Originals Drops Teyana Taylor

One of the first females to be signed to Adidas, Teyana Taylor, has been dropped by three stripes. Teyana Taylor’s GLC was one of the most successful female collab sneakers to ever be released by Adidas and last month, the 2nd colorway was set to release but was put on hold due to a verbal altercation with Rihanna. Taylor posted a photo of a battered Rihanna from an altercation with Chris Brown in 2009 forcing Adidas to drop her.

Statement released by adidas:

“We have ended our relationship with Teyana Taylor and do not have any upcoming product launches with her. All I can say is that adidas partners with athletes and artists who blend well with our brand values. We evaluate our relationships with partners based on the values we hold at adidas and we don’t condone violence of any kind.”
