The slide is possibly the most essential—yet overlooked—piece of summer footwear imaginable. It carries you to and from the court, in and out of the pool, and most notably these days, all around the house. While high-end brands like Suicoke and Visvim have long jockeyed for dominance in the luxury slide market, consumers can be hard-pressed to find an affordable option that offers more than just a slapdash EVA sole and a standard plastic strap. Thankfully, Pharrell and Adidas are here to change that.

The longtime collaborators have announced a new set of BOOST slides that offer immediate style and immense comfort. Speaking to Vogue, Pharrell noted “[Comfort] is the one thing that gets overlooked when it comes to sports slides. It is always about how much a brand can save and how much of a profit margin they can garner by just throwing something in some regular old mold. These are different because they were crafted with the expressed intention of making every step comfortable.”

The slides feature a contoured sockliner pad atop a raw BOOST midsole secured by a soft and oversized Velcro mesh strap for uncompromising comfort from all angles. The slides come in four bright colorways: a ripe orange, a bright, bubblegum pink, a jet black, and a (seemingly friends and family exclusive) lemon yellow.

The Pharrell x Adidas PW BOOST Slide releases August 1st via adidas.com and at select retailers such as NiceKicks (9AM CT) and asphaltgold. Check out photos of the models down below.

Update: Yellow colorway will be sold on bbcicecream.com and at BBC ICE CREAM locations on August 1st.
