Before LeBron James joined the NBA and signed his deal with Nike, the kid from Akron was destroying his high school competition in a variety of shoes ranging from Nikes, Reeboks, and adidas. Each of these brands were creating Player Exclusive colorways for LeBron, hoping that the basketball prodigy would one day sign with the brand. One of those PEs, the adidas T-Mac 2.0 “SVSM,” is now making its return, releasing to the public nearly two decades after James’ debuted them in 2002.
The adidas T-Mac 2 is the second signature shoe of 7x NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady. LeBron has often cited McGrady as one of his favorite players, making this PE a match-made in basketball heaven. For this release, the model gets dressed in a dark green and gold color scheme to match the colors of James’ high school St. Vincent–St. Mary.
