Following early leaks, adidas officially announces the launch of the latest iteration of the Ultraboost, the Ultraboost 21. According to adidas Footwear Senior Design Director, Moritz Höllmüller, this is the “most holistic running shoe ever, that is the ultimate expression of comfort and responsiveness.”
The adidas Ultraboost 21 delivers a composite of bold new designs with the latest in performance technology. The core development focused on the redesign of the shoe’s torsion system, including LEP (“Linear Energy Push”), a new adidas development which provides a 15% increase in forefoot bending stiffness, allowing for a more responsive stride.
Another standout is the classic BOOST sole system, which has been redesigned to pack in 6% more BOOST with an exaggerated heel curve. A PRIMEKNIT+ upper constructed from PRIMEBLUE, a recycled material made of at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic, has also been redesigned with more precise knit for enhanced support and movement.
The adidas ULTRABOOST 21 will release in a series of launch colorways on January 28th on adidas.com.
