Following the launch of the Ultraboost 21 earlier this year, adidas is now presenting a few new eco-friendly Ultraboost options, including the launch of the Ultraboost 6.0, the “Made to Be Remade” Ultraboost, and Parley editions of both the Ultraboost 21 and new Ultraboost 6.0.
The Ultraboost 6.0 keeps mostly in-line as preceding 1.0-5.0 options, though construction has been revamped with sustainability in mind. PRIMEBLUE makes up the upper, a material made with Parley Ocean Plastic, while the cage and heel counter are made with Milguard Ocean C, a unique polymer blend made from reprocessed plastic and old fishing nets.
The “Made To Be Remade” Ultraboost is the first product launched to the public as part of the brand’s circular system and service of the same name. The shoe is uniquely designed with no dye or glue so that it can be turned into a new pair at the end of its life. A QR code can be scanned to offer the wearer insight on how to get more out of the Made to Be Remade service and helps in the return process when ready to send them back.
The adidas Ultraboost 6.0 in its debut men’s and women’s colorways, the “Made to Be Remade” Ultraboost, and Parley editions of the Ultraboost 6.0 and Ultraboost 21 will launch on April 22nd via adidas.com. Check out all five options below.
