adidas Y-3 debuts the Kusari, a new Boost silhouette that comes in two color ways, Black and/or Red.
Inspired by Japan’s chain armor used by samurais, the name “Kusari” is the term used for “mail armor”, which consists of tiny chain-linked rings that bind together and were worn under armor plates for full mobility and protection. The silhouette is seen to resemble the Kusari texture with the mesh upper and leather plate that sits at the heel of the shoe holding an intricate string-work lacing system. To finish the silhouette off, Y-3 branding is placed on the tongue all atop a Boost midsole giving the shoe a futuristic samurai-inspired look.
The adidas Y-3 Kusari is now available in both color ways at select retailers such as Feature for the retail price tag of $390 USD each.
