The act of retroing a sneaker comes with the notion that the product carries value, longevity, and a rich history. Yohji Yamamoto and adidas have been building that heritage since they first took to the runway at Paris Fashion week in October 2002 with their inaugural Y-3 collection. Twenty years later, Y-3 continues to push the boundaries of design with releases such as the TERREX SWIFT R3 GTX and Y-3 Forum Hi. For the next Y-3 release, Yamamoto and adidas reach into their extensive archive to reissue the Y-3 Qasa High.
The re-release of the Y-3 Qasa High stays true to the original silhouette first introduced in 2013. The one-to-one reissue features the signature EVA midsole, borrowing from adidas’ ’90s Tubular running technology. This is paired with the iconic high-top neoprene sock-like upper, with additional features including elasticated strapping, a leather toe cap, and suede heel lining.
The adidas Y-3 Qasa High is set to make its global return on May 25th on adidas.com (12pm CDT), adidas CONFIRMED, at adidas storefronts, and at select retailers. Check out the pair below.
