Original Story (02/25/22): More YEEZY re-release news has surfaced. With classics such as the 700 “Wave Runner” and 350 “Oreo” soon making their return, we are also getting a reworked version of a more recent addition to the YEEZY lineup, the 700 V3 “Safflower.”

Original released in late 2020/early 2021, the YEEZY 700 V3 “Safflower” features a yellow stripe pattern across its monofilament engineered mesh upper. The bone-colored RPU cage glows in the dark, while 3M reflective elements are found on the toe area of the black neoprene tongue and bootie. Additional features include black bungee-style laces, a tan EVA midsole, and orange PU cushioning that is visible through the outsole windows. The new version releasing in 2022 is called “Mono Safflower” and features a cage that glows orange instead of green.

The adidas YEEZY 700 V3 “Mono Safflower” is expected to drop this March on adidas.com/yeezy, YEEZY SUPPLY, and select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Update (03/11/22): jjoseph15 reveals that the cage on the “Mono Safflower” 700 V3 glows orange in the dark instead of green. This will be the main difference between the OG and this new pair.

Update (03/02/22): It turns out that the upcoming “Safflower” restock is not a restock, but the introduction of a very similar colorway named the “Mono Safflower.” Upon first look, there are no noticeable differences between the two versions, except maybe some slight color and material updates. Check out in-hand photos below, courtesy of jjoseph15, and compare for yourself. These drop on March 18th.
