It’s not the best of times for the NFL and the way the public views their players’ character, making it come as little surprise that Nike has chosen to suspend Adrian Peterson’s contract pending the results of his current child abuse charges. The Vikings have chosen the same route, reversing their original choice to let Peterson start this weekend opting instead to wait out the charges. Nike spokesman KeJuan Wilkins was quoted as saying “Nike in no way condones child abuse or domestic violence of any kind and has shared our concerns with the NFL”.
