German based-retailer AFEW partners with Saucony for a Shadow 5000 that pays tribute to the legacy of the great physicist Albert Einstein.

The shoe features a green suede mud guard and sock liner that pays homage to Princeton where Einstein was a professor. The uppers are dressed in tweed as a nod of respect to the tweed coats the great physicist used to wear. This offering also features mismatched laces and heel caps to pay tribute to “Time & Space” and custom dubraes for each respective shoe. The left shoe consists of white laces and a white heel cap along with a logo of a box to symbolize space, while on the right sneaker there is a graphic of a sand timer and a brown heel cap and accompanying brown laces to signify time. One of the most prominent details of the offering is the glow in the dark outsoles and the doodles of various equations on the midsole. AFEW branding finds a home on the heels of each sneaker and consistent with the doodles the box is covered in equations and doodles inspired by the late Albert E.
