Original Story (04/18/22): Aimé Leon Dore has officially announced the launch of the New Balance 650R, the high-top counterpart to the popular New Balance 550.
Following the pre-order window that opened in July, Aimé Leon Dore is now officially dropping the retro basketball shoe in four colorways. This includes the grey, green, and navy colorways that were part of the pre-order, as well as a new red colorway that will be exclusive to Aimé Leon Dore.
As part of the launch, Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance have refurbished the basketball court at Masaryk Towers in NYC’s Lower East Side. The inside of the ALD x NB Masaryk Community Gym can be seen in the campaign video above.
The raffle for the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650R is open now through April 19th on the ALD website. A wider release for the navy, green, and grey colorways will follow on NewBalance.com and at select retailers.
Update (04/30/22): The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650 will see a wider release on NewBalance.com and select retailers on May 5th.
