Aimé Leon Dore has teamed up with New Balance on a FW21 apparel collection to release alongside their 993 collaboration.
The Queens-based label has enlisted individuals from the NYC underground rap scene to star in the collection’s campaign, including RRR Music Group members YL, Starker, and MID, as well as multi-hyphenate creative Waqas Ghani. The NYC love affair also includes graffiti artist Post AOW, seen throwing up “Queens Get The Money” in the campaign video.
The apparel in the collection is comprised primarily of outerwear with an outdoor aesthetic. Pieces include waterproof shell jackets and pants, double snap hoodies, a knit hiker sweater, crewnecks, sweatpants, Cordura shorts, and pocket and graphic tees. There’s also a good amount of fleece options including jackets, long-sleeve panel tees, and gloves. Accessories include hats, beanies, balaclavas, socks, a convertible tote, a waist pack, a thermos, a carabiner, a graphic bandana, and an ALD x NB 993 poster and keychain.
