Original Story (04/08/21): Jordan Brand is cooking up a duo of Air Jordan 1 Highs that feature GORE-TEX membranes for protection against the toughest winter conditions.
Long-revered as a durable and versatile mainstay in sneakers, it’s no surprise that Jordan is experimenting with GORE-TEX tech on such a prolific model. Dubbed the Air Jordan 1 Element, the shoes will come in relatively unassuming colorways despite the tough tech that make up their uppers.
The first colorway will echo the Air Jordan 1 “Shadow” with grey leather heel and wing paneling giving way to a silver 3M Swoosh, black upper, and sail midsole. A second colorway will follow in a Sail-based color scheme. Both colorways feature contrasting GORE-TEX branding at the heel.
Current info places the black Air Jordan 1 Element as a November 2021 release with the sail colorway following in December, each coming in at a slightly elevated MSRP of $200. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for first looks and release updates.
