Air Jordan 1 High OG CO.JP “Tokyo” Official Release Info

0

Original Story (04/07/20): In 2001, Jordan Brand released four Air Jordan 1s in a “Japan” Pack. This release was special for a few different reasons. Formally known as the “2001 Addition”, these colorways released in celebration of the new century. Instead of a traditional shoebox, the Silver Grey pair came in a Jordan Brand briefcase. This release marked the introduction of the first non-original colorways of the Air Jordan 1 to the market. It also marked the first ever country-exclusive Air Jordan.

Each of the four colorways received an extremely limited release. The Grey colorway was limited to just 2001 pairs, while the Midnight Navy, Black, and White colorways were limited to 3000 pairs each. Now all four are set to return in 2020, most likely as a nod to the Olympic Games in Tokyo. These new pairs will feature “Nike Air” branding on the tongues, while the original 2001 pairs came with a Jumpman logo.

Although the Olympic Games have been postponed to 2021, these four Air Jordan 1’s are still expected to release throughout 2020 on Nike.com, starting with the Silver colorway in July. Check them out below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
